kitchen remodel designs… so excited

we’re finally moving forward with our long discussed kitchen remodel project! it’s very exciting. soon we’ll have a dishwasher, a more sensibly located sink, more counter space, and a gas range. here are links to the nice vendors that will be providing the raw goods for our diy project this summer. we’re doing our own plumbing work for the sink, fridge, dishwasher, and gas stove (the current one is electric) thanks to Shark Bite connectors, PEX tubing, and handy diy guides like this one. new cabinets will come from RTA Cabinet Store. granite countertops are coming from Bedrock Creations. thanks to some very generous rebates from maytag, new appliances are on the way too. hurray!

this is the style of fence we’re going to put up. it’s nicknamed a “friendly neighbor” fence, but is more widely know as a shadowbox fence, with a lattice topper.

Our new house (part two)

these are the pictures we took while house shopping. our incompetent realtor is the woman in these pics. seriously. not happy with her services. to be perfectly honest, i feel like a sucker for paying her commission. sure she drove us around to look at houses, but so can taxi drivers. she made the process much more stressful and difficult than it had any right to be.
