Kitchen Remodel – Gas + Upper Cabinets

we ran a new gas line to power our new gas range and oven. plus, we installed a microwave (incl. vent). good stuff. we had started to forget how much we prefer cooking with gas. crys’ mother was nice enough to help us stain the trim that will go at the top and bottom of the upper cabinets to help give them a more finished look.

next up: move the sink and run new water and drain lines. we’ve completed the first step – re-purpose an old cast iron vent for a vent/drain system. but, we’re holding off on moving the sink for as long as possible.

Kitchen Remodel – Window!

we replaced our old window with a new one! the old window was too tall and needed to be replaced before we could move the sink to the area under the window. the old window will be re-used in another part of the house.

Garden!

we stripped a 20′x20′ area in our backyard of grass to make way for a veggie garden. hopefully in a month or two we’ll have some tastiness to show for our effort.
